Hi Taxi uncle,

Nice forum.

Note that your previous forum encountered spamers attacks.

Actually those spammers are bots attacking many forums, especially popular forums. Besides deleting them, there arent much one can do. Banning email, and users a/c are not effective also.

Getting more moderators to help clean up the forum is a good way to handle spammers. My forum also has spammers posting porno, nude pics etc everyday.

Account activation by admin is the effective way, but it adds alot of work for the admin and also retard the growth of the forum.

Nice new home for everyone. I think what patgoh has said is worth considering, have admin approved membership, this will surely control the spam problem. Mybe you could get a few active members here to help you with the moderation and approval.

Hi there,

I'm relatively new here as I happen to "bump" into the old site, but find it very slow for a broadband user like me hence, did not post any message let alone login. Have email to the site admin and was glad he told me about the "new home".

Yes, I'm one of the rare breed of OMO Camry Taxi... about 12 currently in SGP.

Since we have an online place for the IT savvy drivers when we are off the road, maybe we could have a talkgroup on our own when we are "On The Road"? What you guys think??

Juz my 2 cents worth...

Hello Taxi Uncle,

Like Moshimoshi, I hammer and hammer away at my keyboard until my fingers Bengkak (Swollen) and only realised that Taxi Club have moved to new site. And I also thought can simply log-in with existing password, only to be told I am not registered in server. So start all over again. But well done. Hopefully we can find a way to get rid or prevent this site from spamming again. Clap! clap! clap!
