i'm new here n like to ask few questions to seniors here. i passed my driving last nov til today. is a must have a year of driving experience before u can be a taxi hirer/ relief driver? shoud i get a second hand car like old car (10years or more) for short term like a year plus then scrap n i go apply TVL after a year of driving.
has any bros/sis gone through this situation before?
one need not to be physically drive or own a car for a year to qualify to apply for a VDL. as long as your date of issue of your driving license is more than a year on the day you go LTA to apply for a VDL, you are qualify.

but, try to drive more, rent a car or whatever if you dont need to own one to drive around the island n at the same time to see if you like driving or not. some ppl hate driving alot n these ppl cannot be a taxi driver. it would kills him.
