I went down to Blk 443 to look for Beach Road Taxi Coy, but how come anytime of the day, I hardly see any taxi there not even the kiosk's lady( as the paper reported) Tried sought the answers from the old uncles at the void deck or the nearby kopitiam, they seems to be bu tong leh,
I went there last night around 11plus there is a silver arrow park outside the shop. You mean the shop not open? It's a red color sign board with few kopi table and chairs outside. Saw a few empty kopi cups on the table. Maybe should try change shift timing around 5pm or 5am should have people around.
It's an agent that help taxi coy like Premier and Smart to get drivers. Drivers don't have to cough out any deposit and only have to ring them up whenever driver feel like driving that day. Convenient for part-time cabbies or cabbies who drive as and when they want.

I read in the new paper quite some time ago there is this auntie sitting in a coffeeshop with a laptop making arrangement for taxi drivers whom want to let out their cab for relieve and she will try to match the relieve for them. Some where at haig road if I remember. Is it the same company?
Once upon a time there were private radio call setups for taxis, eg. Toa Payoh, Beach Rd, Ulu Pandang, Lakeview, People's Park etc. I believe the one operating this service is from the Beach Rd Radio Call service, hence Beach Road Taxi.
I don't know exactly but collection on Sunday can be as early as 0500. Half day shift is 11 hours until 1600.
You may need to check with them in case accident what is excess amount you need to pay. Monday to Saturday is fully occupied by full timer and regular partimer.
