Hi guys, just to check with you. If drive full time taxi then down with sickness how ah? I just got the flu bug. First is my mama then she recover then is my wife then now my turn. I am given MC for a week so cannot go to work for a week. So if say driving a cab full time means still have to pay rental for 7 days without driving it to earn a living. How you guys normally tackle such situation ah?

Yes. You still have to pay the rentals even if you are too sick to drive. That's why they say a cabby can die but cannot fall sick...hahaha.... Oso, u cannot claim any medical fees or MC unless u r hospitalised. If u have to rest for so many days, the only alternative is to look for a part-timer or a super-relief lor... Hope u get well soon. So now u know why some cabbie react in a special way when they go hospital or have pax who are sick? Remember how public complain abt cabbie sanitize e cab after they get off? Remember how public complain abt cabbie refuse to take pax suffering fm flu to hospital? We rather die on the wheels than sick on the bed.
