What: If you are a true blue Peranakan, you will want to flock to this buffet prepared by Guest and Celebrity Chef Kenny Chan, a seventh generation Baba from Malacca. Chef Kenny will serve up his signature Peranankan dishes such as Ayam Buah Keuak (stuffed Indonesian black nut with chicken), a spicy and sweet concoction of tender braised chicken pieces, enhanced with turmeric, lemongrass and Buah Keluak, an Indonesian black nut that gives the dish a nutty flavour. Other dishes not to be missed are the mouth-watering Babi Pong Teh (braised pork in salted bean paste) where the pork belly is tenderly braised in salted bean paste gravy with a hint of cinnamon; Ikan Goreng Cili (fried fish with sambal) that packs a fiery punch; the tangy and spicy Telur Cincalok (fermented shrimp omelette)as well as the must-have of every Peranakan meal, vegetable dish Nyonya Chap Chye (mixed vegetable stew). Complete your meal with the delectably sinful Nyonya Cendol and Chef Kenny¡¯s signature Sour Plum Drink. Savour these Nonya delights this March!
