STOMPer Merlion Wayfarer spotted scores of dead fish and animals at Pasir Ris Beach, apparently killed by the foamy, off-colour water there.The STOMPer wrote: "I was at Pasir Ris Beach yesterday evening and noted the unhealthy pollution, so I decided to share about it with you all
so that the authorities can take some action and also that people will not eat the fish/seafood found there or swim there for the time-being."I was surprised to see the condition of the beach. At the edges of the mud-sand composite beach, there was about a metre of foam at the
incoming tide. "In addition to the usual washed-up debris, I found further evidence of the pollution rampant on the beach. In some places, the
suds had turned into dirty-yellow curds. "It was almost as if someone had just regurgitated his entire stomach contents into the water."
