Woman who has been stealing neighbour's pandan leaves for years finally caught
Posted on 02 Apr 2013
A woman who had been stealing pandan leaves from her neighbour's potted plants at Rivervale Drive for the past three years was finally caught red-handed on camera.
The neighbour, STOMPer S, sent STOMP a CCTV footage showing the woman helping herself to the pandan leaves on April 1.
Said the STOMPer:
"Residents of Block 144 Rivervale Drive, beware of this pandan leaves thief.
"This woman has been stealing pandan leaves from our pots for the past 3 years. We have been keeping quiet all these years till a day when she really pissed us off.
"My old parents love their plants and nurture it with care daily. They don¡¯t mind giving a few pandan leaves to the neighbours if they need it.
"What really hurts them is to found out that their plants are being chopped off from the stem totally. Some neighbours from the same block also shared the same fate.
"They have seen this woman helping herself to our plants too. Therefore, we decided to fix a camera and wait for the thief to show up again.
"This video clip was taken on April 1 at about 2:50pm."
