I have been experiencing these bloody ****ing drivers this week, so just to remind fellow cabbies to look out for these ****ers and drive defensive.
Have you experienced public bus drivers swinging out from bus bays without checking and truck/coach drivers coming out from slip roads without stopping even on expressways?
actually, I did notice from their big side mirror that the bus drivers did check but they are just too boh chap as long as you are not too near for them to hit you on your side. Sometimes I horned or flash high beams at them but what did I get? they show me their hand gestures.
Get on with it lor... I admit I'm dam piss off by them but what to do? Anyway it's a nice reminder ^_^
Mickie, I dont think its just taxi drivers (though I am aware cabbies have a bad reputation as road users). I feel that Singaporean drivers have an attitude problems and lousy road etiquette. How many times you have given way to people and they gesture to say thanks? Honestly, I will still continue to give way as accordingly cos it makes me feel good and that is more important.
Ya lor...when I drive my teksi, many cars, especially vans and trucks refuse to give way. They will speed up and close the gap. Even other taxi drivers do that to me..
