In a fast modernising Singapore, a lot of old street names are forgotten. However, we still have quite a number of old folks taking taxis. These senior citizens prefer to refer to street names by their old names, like in the past. I have attached a list of old street names. Not sure if this has been posted before.

Based on memory alone, Chin Bee Mansion is just beside 112 Katong (previously Katong Mall) along Joo Chiat Rd. However, not sure if it is still there or been redeveloped.
U are the man smooth rider! Some guys in our Canot find it, another compared current and past edition of street directory.. And yes is the building behind 112, and 112 was shown as katong mall on the old edition!

yes, trainer asked us..some know some don't. Is the Royal Sporting House HQ? Macpherson rd.. heee i know cos i went there for an interview as a student for a p/t job as retail assistant :p
