Since new year day, business very bad. Less bookings. Since the revamp, have to compete with another driver for same job. Get job always go until there cancelled. Wonder what happened? Last year was good.
ppl are tighten their belt for the CNY. closer to CNY should be better when ppl are out for new year stuffs. after the CNY, it will back to bad for driver to tighten our belt again.

True last Saturday night MBS taxi queue was super long. However Airport T2 was super good. CBD area was very quiet. Had to struggled quite abit.
Business was super duper slow last 2 weeks 2013, especially on xmas day and new year day. Now I am thankful not everyday is xmas! :)
many cabbies went to q at the airport that 2 weekends.
but business is now back to normal since jan 2. Phew!
Being a new driver, its the first time i experience this festive down.
Personally,l i always feel that i will drive longer hours in a given day if the business and momentum is there. There are certainly ups and downs as with all other businesses. For cabbies, we will have days when we are sick, car repair, etc and we therefore have no income on those days. So the "extra" income i earn on good days are buffer for future unforseen downtime.
Ya...Thankfully, business was back to normal y'day. My hirer so good...allowed me to extend my shift hrs y'day without charging me extra rental. I just drove and drove without even taking dinner. By the time I realised, it was already 10pm(I had started at 6.30 am) and I had to force myself to stop. Dun want to take advantage of my hirer's goodwill.
Dunno why, I always find my shift hrs( 6 am to 6 pm) too short. See pax always want to take liddat. Don't want to stop. Maybe I drive once a week only. Perhaps those full time TDs can't wait for shift to end. Anyone got the same feeling?职业病?
Sad to say, I dun have the same feeling for my full time job...always waiting for 6 pm to come So can go home. Hahaha...

Taxilim, because our job is non-stop so you will feel time pass very fast and earn not enough
Yes, I think u are right. Our job is non stop, pick and go, pick and go. So, time passes by very fast indeed. And always like never can earn enough type...can still take one more, last one..liddat.
Taxilim, driving taxi is very addictive de. you are not alone. At first, i thought I am the only one, then I compare notes with my TVL course mate he also said the same. He only weekend relief. For me, one day no drive like missing something. LOL!
