I am earning $200 from Mon to Thur, $400 on Fri and Sat and $300 on Sun, I am OMO, running a 12 Hours shift, is that call running leh? please advice....

Dear Bro Anon,

I was a victim of this SMRT AZERA and maybe you can use my case for your reference.

The first two weeks into driving the Azera ( also OMO ), I developed a GASTRIC attack.

Why? The rental is $110 ( dry ) operating gas plus petrol = between $70 -$80.

In order for me to catch up my cost first, I kept delaying my meals.


The Azera is an excellent car and was designed as a saloon car for comfort but not

really for a TAXI kind of usage.It is currently the biggest and most powerful taxi on

the road in SG .The engine is a huge 3300cc.and packs a big wallop for acceleration ( petrol mode ).

I fully agree with you that on a usual 12 hour shift you can easily hit $200 but you

have to deduct that from your cost.

The biggest challenge right now for the Azera is that there is not sufficient GAS

stations in SG. By now you probably know the hassle of looking for a GAS top up while the

AZera quickly run out of GAS. You can still run on 95 octane Petrol but now your cost is

rocketting to $1.60 per 10km. In order to quickly bring down the cost of fuel YOU MUST

filled up quickly with CNG. The CNG capacity in the Azera is a JOKE - 20kg for such a

monstrous car....hahahaha. This cannot be helped because the difficulty in CNG cars is

the STORAGE TANK- takes up tremendous SPACE.

I once rejected 1 angmoh from CHANGI T1 'cos his luggage was 30 ins. The Azera trunk

cannot accomodate.

All in a nutshell I see hypocrisy in this so call GO GREEN policy where everyone

including the SG Garment paying lip services only, while the building of the

infrastructure is at a SNAIL-PACE. By the time you can comfortably fill up the CNG tanks,

it is probably time to scrap the AZERA.

How abt now...me and 4 of my classmate also took up the azera as they quote no car avaiable.....what is the correct technique for such stupid idea to start with...? can advice ty

If that's the amount a taxi-driver can earn in a month doing only 12-hr shift,
everyone will be queing up to drive taxi liao lo....
even a lot of management level ppl don't earn this figure and they sometimes
do put in as much as 16 hrs/day.

be careful, IRAS will be knocking on your doors.
