Newbie needs advice....

HI guys, Just pass my test today n now waiting for photo taking then get my license.

Any bro or sis here can advice me on the duration of the earliest expected time that i can get my license?

I m thinking of joining as hirer withTrans cab, Premier n smart. Bro n sis here who r from these companies, care to share your opinion? Info on rental rates, rebates, incentives etc.... I m more on looking for diesel engine in particular. I understand that Primier offering auto diesel cab but the rental is ard $105 not sure if its worth going for it anot.

As i m a bankrupt so can only use POSB acc.

Thanks in advance..... aww

Bro NYK, if you are looking to drive a normal taxi, Auto car and diesel engine powered, join CDG and take a Sonata.
Call all the taxi coy and ask them wat are they offering to new hirer, you then compare and made a decision.
If you worried about the bank acc thing, the acc use can be under other ppl name, not neccessary must be the acc under your name.

Thanks Bro bluenuts, I actually don't mind if it is auto or manual, as long as is diesel then ok for me.

I would feel more comfortable to use my own acct.

If join Premeir, it will be high rental but no contract, only 2 week notice. Others is with contract but low rental.

Any Premier, Trans cab or Smart cabby here to share more info to compare?

Bro NYK, if I am not wrong, you can open an account with other banks
with a letter from the Official Assignee.

Bro NYK I would recommend either CDG or Trans cab as they are better organized coy,but then if you choose Trans cab they only have the old Toyota Crown (Diesel)their Toyota Wish is run on CNG.So the better choice is still CDG!My two cents!biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Just being curious, how come most will recommend CDG? Is it due to more booking?

Bro NYK, booking is only one of the factor.
Other factor like accounting, which is very important, you don't want a messy accounting when comes to incentives due to you by the company right?
Also there's the cashless payment facilities available and the relatively low diesel price offered, gives CDG the edge.
Like Bro Cabbyjoe mentioned, Transcab is the other company worth consider since you don't mind driving a Crown.
As i've said before, ask all of these taxis company, what are they offering to new hirer, from there you can shortlist the company that interest you.
If Premier, Transcab and Smart are the company that you shortlisted, then Transcab will get my vote.

Premier deposit of $250 is the 1st instalment right bro NYK?
You need to give a total of $1000 deposit right?
Fyi, CDG also have this option, Transcab also but only if you take crown from them.
Both CDG and Transcab only need to give 7days notice, unlike Premier 14 days.
Heard that SMRT got a Staff Hirer scheme, taxi rental only $40/day but no relief allowed, wonder you found out anything about it?
