The Real Culprit? Today Questionable Fare Structure.
The Fare Structure need to revised as follows:
- Increase Flag down fare to x5 (means $15)
- Increase Surcharge to Double.
The Fare structure misled ppl that it is a mass transport which is readily available
at anytime , obviously is not.
With new fare structure, there will be no long queue, TD will take any ending destination, work less hour, more income, less accident etc.
The current Fare structure compromise Taxi professionalism since the income barely covers rental for 8 hrs on the road.
The current Fare structure favours Taxi operators by making it a mass transport and taking as much calls as possible which it cannot cope with the existing fleet size.
The current Fare structure makes the TD works extra hard comprising safety and does not promote family building and health lifestyle.
