Personal fitness trainer Wong Chee Hong pinned down a businessman at a McDonald's outlet before stealing his gold chain. He was fined $2,000 yesterday for stealing a gold chain in a brawl at a burger outlet, as reported by The Straits Times.Wong, 41, tore the $4,000 piece of jewellery from businessman Leong Yong Kiat¡¯s neck after pinning him to the ground and pocketed it. Mr Leong, 28, had gone to McDonald¡¯s in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 to watch a football match with his employee, Ms Peh Lay Tin, 27. Wong then arrived with two friends and occupied the next table. When Mr Leong placed his feet on a chair near them, one of them asked him not to do it, leading up to a heated exchange of words before he complied. But by then it was too late and the three men assaulted him, with Wong taking the chain. Bystanders pulled them apart while Ms Peh called the police, who found the gold chain in Wong¡¯s pocket when they searched him outside the restaurant.
