Maybe something happened to the first few drivers who accepted the call .

Like booking errors .

Maybe a innocent party third driver accepted and arrived but got the brunt of your verbal lashing .

STOMPer Jacinth was irked when the cab she booked took 30 minutes to arrive. She feels the booking fee should

be waived, as commuters who had waited the same amount of time in a nearby cab queue had gotten cabs already.

The STOMPer is also annoyed that the driver and call centre operator she spoke to did not seem apologetic at all.

The STOMPer wrote:

"My friend and I were rushing off to somewhere from Ion Orchard and we decided to book a taxi as the line for a cab was long.

"I dialed a cab from Comfort Delgro and got told that the cab would take 7-9 minutes.

"So we waited... and after a long time, we started wondering why the cab had not arrived and realised it had

already been 20 minutes from when I first booked my cab and it was still not here even though I was told it would come in 7-9 minutes!

"As we were already late I decided to call up Comfort Delgro only to have the staff tell me that the driver would

be reaching "in one minute" and after 10 minutes, he was still nowhere to be seen! "I decided to call Comfort Delgro

again and just then the taxi decided to appear. "The driver didn't even apologize for taking over 30 minutes to arrive

but simply said he was late 'due to traffic' and the staff on the line didn't even apologize. "I'm not trying to be bring

down the driver but I think the least I could have gotten was an apology and a waiver of my booking fee especially

since if I had decided to queue in line, I would have already gotten a taxi. When we left the people behind us were

no longer at the taxi stand already! "I'm just trying to point out the lousy service I've encountered and I as a

customer would think that by booking a cab, it is a premium as I will be paying the booking fee as extra as well."
