A van and taxi collided at the Victoria Street and Rochor Road junction in the wee hours of the morning yesterday, at the same spot where the high-profile Ferrari crash occurred last May.
The crash, at about 12.20am yesterday, caused a fire in the van¡¯s front compartment that was later put out by the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
A police spokesman said four conscious people were sent to hospital. The male taxi driver, in his 50s, was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Three others were sent to the Singapore General Hospital for discomfort and minor injuries.
In May last year, a taxi was hit by a speeding Ferrari that beat a red light at the same junction, killing the driver of the sports car, Ma Chi, the taxi driver, cabby Cheng Teck Hock, 52, and his passenger, Ms Shigemi Ito, 41.
