1. most of the time, this is the most sensitive issue becos hirer scare u makan his diesel, and you also scare he makan your diesel. end up, both also not happy. so, try to have a good understanding and transparent practice. few common practices are;
a) 10km per litre. 300km means 30 litre and you juz pay the 30 x diesel price per litre to one party to pump. this can also save your trip and waiting time at the diesel kiosk.
b) top up own diesel with the receipt for reference. like 300km trip must at least has 30 litre or more.
c) top up own diesel from CDG kiosk + top up to untill diesel can be seen at the kiosk nearer to where you handling over the car. this is usually add of $2-3.
2. night wash car, day send car for servicing.
3. rent be paid daily.
4. if car key also 1 2 save, you can fcuk your hirer and get another one.
i dont know what is the rental for a brand new sonata now but a good hirer should not be out to earn a co-driver's (partner) money out of the rental. the amount should be split equally if the hours is 12/12. if your hirer is not honest and is out to cheat you that few dollars, i think you better get another hirer or soon you will get yourself nightmares.

My friend got me a plastic box with small compartments (like the one u use to put screws in tool box). I put coins of the same denominations in each compartment, so i can give loose change fast n accurately. :)
$50 = 1 (must-have for me, because I ever kena a ah neh paying me with a $100 note with a cab fare less than $10. i ask for small change, he open his wallet & it's all $100. it's his pay day that day...) $10 = 15~30 (not exaggerating. I once kena 2x$100 & 5x$50 note in a single day. change until my coins also out of stock. in the end still gives discount due to not enough change...) $5 = 2~5 $2 = 10~20 (the more the merrier. I ever give change to pax using all coins. Cashcard = when it reach $30, I'll top up $50. Not me, but I got a taxi friend, who kena $30+ gantry in 1 single day. he went to top up half way through. lol
Note: I do not show all my floats, meaning I'll hold on to (estimate only) 4x$10, 2x$5 & 5x$2 notes. I'll keep the rest in my wallet. Easier for you to handle, & also not to expose too much cash to certain potential "robber" pax. (I kia si)

I would say between $2~400. That really depends . lol
That time I can't find any suitable box at Daiso, so I bought this box instead at a hardware shop in Balestier I think... Anyway it's less than $3, still worth it. ^_^

for car servicing at CDG, the rental of time spent at the workshop would be reimburse to the hirer.
the time is recorded and therefore you should claim from the hirer (deduct from rental) if you are just a relief.
