Hi Fazz, appreciate your reply. i havent really come across what you mentioned. so just accept the voucher and use it for diesel?
Hi! I have a cab charge which is the latest, there's no magnetic stripe and work like EZ link card, tried a few times and managed to succeed in transaction only 3 out 6 taxi trips. I don't understand why comfort give a go ahead on this card when majority of the drivers were not prepared FYI ; i worked part time and the cab charge is a corporate card from my company
CabCharge need to swipe as credit card. it also occurred to me as a voucher. but when in doubt can ask passenger for the card and keep it. then the troublesome part is going to CDG building level 2 cashless counter to tell them few details. trip time, trip duration, destination and pickup point. thanks all for the reply to my query.
@ Fazz - The card type cab-charge is for you to swipe and then once approve, you can dispose. If you need to keep track of your cashless payment, you can keep a copy of the printed receipt and double check online in the CDG Driver's Portal.
@ Mr. Nice guy - Yes, the plastic cab charge is a store value card and so far it works well for me. Maybe the driver does not use the terminal correctly. Instead of pressing "Credit", he should press "EZLink" so that the terminal can "sense" and deduct the fare from the card. Remember that the card must be placed just below the "fare amount" of the LCD screen as this is the optimal (correct) place to allow the terminal to sense the card.
Hope you can try in again next time with a cabbie who is more familiar.
