for newbie, do you like driving? can you drive for 12-15 hours a day, every days?
does your new cab comes with contract? if yes, you better think hard. why dont you try to drive as a relief first? try to see if you suit the trade. approx 70% of newbie gave up driving less than a year.

Hi I'm Zen. Newbie here, just got my TVDL and just booked a SMRT Toyota Prius 1.8A petrol and hybrid. The rental is $133 per day. It's pretty high for a newbie like me. So need some advice from the expert and senior what should I do or should I not take or whatever. Need your comment, thanks in advance.
I have been unable to find hirer despite talking to a few. They refuse to follow rule i.e. go down to HQ to sign reason known only to themselves or maybe just an excuse probably they don't believe in my driving after questioning my track record and my licence only acquired two years ago.
I am really stuck for a year now still haven't start in this career.
