Dark blue or black hyundai on TPE (PIE) this morning at 130am see here!
I am a cab driver and i encountered a dark coloured hyundai (avante i think) on TPE (PIE) this morning at 130am.
he was traveling 80-90kmh and hogging lane 1. I high beamed him and he didnt budge. I then lightly beeped him and he still never budge and continue driving song song in lane 1. I then tried to overtake him on the left and he speed up and prevent me from overtaking. I turned and saw a young female "um chio" somemore.
he then went on to come behind me and tried to tailgate me and even high beamed me, till i exited tampines ave 7. as the his headlights shining against my rear view mirror was bright, i couldn't see properly from my rear mirror and didnt know it was him who came to behind me. I thought it was another car who wanted to exit. only until when i exited and i saw him move back to the highway then i realised it was him. even my passenger was pissed at him and remarked that "he road hogging still doesn't realise he is wrong, its always these people who create accidents".
if the driver is reading, let me say to you this. I didnt jio you stop at the side is not because i give face to you or scared of you and, you are not a hero that you think you are in front of your gf, if not because i was with a passenger or because i didn't know it was you who tried to play punk at the end, i would have jio you to come down for a chat. then lets see how aye sai you are when we reason out.
you think you are very aye sai in front of your girlfriend? you didn't realise that you are road hogging (an offense) and causing obstruction and are being an irritant?
bad news for you is i am not letting this go because you are an egoistic punk who thinks you are very aye sai, and you know what? another bad news is i have a car cam and i am gonna send it to the TP. it will show the full footage of you road hogging and trying to speed up to prevent overtaking.
get ready to wait for letter punk. and if you deny, then you are just a ball-less **** who act aye sai but when get trouble, dare not admit.
Honestly, I find this disturbing. To begin with, i find drivers shining highlight at me very annoying. If the person is road hogging, just over take from the left. Why nge nge wanna over take on right lane? This only creates tension and you shine at me, so i shine back at you, when does it end?
I admit sometimes I road hog when I talk to my pax and didnt realise i was driving slow. But I will realise when I see cars over- taking me on the left, then I will move back to lane 2.
I dont condone this you shine me so i shine you back behavior.
We are on the road 12-14 hours, 忍一时风平浪静，退一步海阔天空。If we get into accident, we got more to lose cos we lose income when cab in workshop, not to mention we have to cough out our 血汗钱 for the insurance excess. Heart pain!
Usually in this kind of situation, I'll just overtake from the left. If the traffic is not light but moderate, & I see someone tailgate me, I'll change to lane 2, let the guy behind to overtake, then I'll change back to lane 1 again & follow behind him. Let him do the job. I'm safe. hahaha
When other people high beam or horn at me, first thing that comes to my mind is that did I close the booth or doors properly? Or did I do anything wrong, so others are warning me instead? Anyway, like what Chiku said, my mentality is simple & straight forward: be it right or wrong, we can still earn a living as long as we are still driving. Avoid accident at all cost. (hmm... think I already said this before in another thread but I can't remember where :p)
