I fetched a pax who happens to be a super relief. He shared with me his experience and I gave him the thumbs up. Once, he fetched an angmo man and had accidentally charged him CBD though the hotel was not within CBD. When he realised the mistake, he explained to the pax that he need not pay the surcharge as reflected on the meter. Apparently, pax got angry with him and called him a cheat and started to abuse him verbally. My pax got angry, pulled over the cab and kicked his pax out of the cab. I thought that was brilliant! My pax taught me something invaluable also. We are taxi drivers, not PERSONAL drivers and we shall be respected.
I have been abused/mistreated by pax on 2 occasions and swear to myself I will not allow any pax to mistreat me any more and will not hesitate to kick them out of my cab.
Rather do charity and give pax a free ride..if unsure whether in CBD? Forgoe the $3 bucks.. And the cabby did the right thing to clarify with the pax.. However.. The Ang mo pax dig bones from egg..
Today trainer shared abt the case of Ms Tanya.. Serial fare cheater of 32 times(reported cases) ultimately the law caught up with her.. Charged on 2 counts of fare cheat, fined 1,200 dollars. And made to reimbursement for the other 32 trips. Worth it?
For those who think can get away from fare cheat ? Think twice ah..

Agree with taxiuncle..Verbal abuse only, not physical. No need to kick pax out. One ear in, one ear out.

Last week, I fetched a pax from Lucky Plaza Apts to Changi Airport Terminal 1. The fare was $16.60. The pax conveniently rounded it down for me to $16. I thought he gave $18 (one $10 note and four $2 notes), so I even gave him a change of $1.40.
Only after I left the airport and counted the money, then I realised that I was shortchanged. What to do? Took it as a lesson and just move on lah..
And he actually took my change of $1.40....
