Niteowl, does it matter the reason? even if the cabby agitate him, is the sentence justified? What if the cabby punched the angmo, do you think the cabby can get away with the same fines? How many times we kena pax who get on our nerves but we have to bite out teeth and swallow our tears?
Dont meant to discourage you ah, this is the reality of driving. You need to be prepared for all sorts of nasty pax as well. Can kena scolding for no reason. When I was at STA, senior training actually discouraged me from driving cos he was worried i kena tahan the abuse from very nasty pax. But steady la, i been lucky so far. Kena a few very nasty ones, but 90% of my pax super nice. Hee

Just yesterday, I almost got whacked by drunken unker pax. I picked up this idiot (60+) and his younger friend (40+) from Balestier. I didnt realise he was drunk. He was slurring in his speech and I had thought he was of low intelligence. During the journey, he started hurling hokkien vulgarities at me for no rhyme or reason. Had his friend not restrained him and kept apologising to me, I would have kicked him out of my taxi.
When reached his destination at Lor 1 Toa Payoh, he suddenly grabbed my shoulder. I moved away and shouted at him not to touch me!
Then his friend quickly paid and tried to get him out of the taxi but he refused. I had completely lost it at him by then and shouted at him to get out. He wanted to whack me! His friend quickly dragged him out. His friend had originally wanted me to fetch him to Bishan but changed his mind. I guess he was too embarassed.
I told Parlingo members about the incident and they were so angry and told me to inform them immediately over the channel if I encountered any such problems in future. I was so touched lei. Next time i know what to do liao
