If you are driving through from MCE(AYE) to Rochor, you need to go via Central Boulevard. I made the mistake to go to the lanes marked "ECP" and ended up at Fort Road!!!!!!!
And the best part is there are directional signages to direct you though from Fort Road -> East Coast Service Road -> ECP -> Rochor Exit!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was not the only one at that time i made the mistake.
And if there are directional siganges set up to direct you to the right way, doesnt it say something? that there is a problem with the signages on MCE?????

Poor Chiku. Actually I tried hard to pass you my comprehensive guide to the Bay area and interconnecting roads and routes (East-West, West-East, etc) but I guess the frustrations you and others went thru would stick in your mind and you'll learn better from them than my written pages.)
Anyway, we are drivers on the roads at least 10-14 hours daily. We'll master the routes in no time at all. Soon we'll forget the issues and it will be simply hunky dory.
Thanks, smoothrider. So that's what you wanna pass me. Appreciate your kindness.
I have posted on LTA"s FB page and asked for system map (similar to MRT maps), i think that would be more useful instead of the that confusing table.
I naturally do not have a sense of direction. Went though the MCE(AYE) to MBCC twice today but wont be able to give anyone directions still.
I fetched a malay lady from Harbporfront via AYE to Rochor yesterday but took the wrong exit and had to make a u-turn at Fort Road. I felt so paiseh and offered her a discount of $3 for the additional distance but she insisted to pay me in full. Lesson learnt. ECP exit of MCE hits Fort Road, not Rochor!
Fetched a pax for Ritz Calton to West Coast Rd. He asked to Keppel Rd -> West Coast Highway, giving AYE a miss altogether cos he was caught in the MCE jam for 2 hours on the first day. Phew, I was not alone.
And you are right, we have no choice but learnt how to use it anyhow.
I have prepared a small booklet which is like a kind of reference guide with notes and detailed maps and routes. It is meant for those who either need help in getting to their destinations within the Marina Bay/Marina South area or want to keep it handy in case they suddenly find themself at a loss.
Anyone interested in this guide, please PM me.

Actually, this is not so much of writing. I used to draw maps to help me when I was preparing for my TDVL some 6 to 7 years ago. In those days, you don't need to sit in class with other students. I did mine by self-study, I learnt everything the hard way and drove OMO for 3 years without the benefit of a mentor or fellow drivers.. This practice of drawing maps continued after I started life as a cabbie.
I thought since I've studied the changes in the road network around Marina Bay area, I might as well not put it to waste.
As mentioned in my earlier post, I have prepared a 24-page guide to the Marina South and Bay area with notes, detailed maps and routes for getting through, within and around the area stretching from the AYE/Keppel area to Fort Rd. This guide is available only for a limited period.
Anyone interested in this guide, please PM me latest by midnight 2nd February.
AN IDIOT’S GUIDE TO THE MCE (1st Feb’14)
by Sam Hwang
The Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) has been built and opened and we need to use it whether we like it or not. The closure of a section of the old ECP means that motorists have no choice but to adjust to the new road network in the Marina South and Bay area. Since it is not fully completed, we are stuck with the present situation for the next 6 to 9 months. The main areas that are yet to be completed are the straightening of Central Blvd which will eventually begin from the MCE end all the way to Shenton Way; and the 2-way link from Maxwell Rd to the MCE. Having a reference guide means you won’t be caught unprepared if you’re stuck.
This guide is meant for anyone who is either :
Clueless
Desperate
Confused
Unsure
You are not alone ! Many have been fooled into thinking that it would be smooth sailing from day one. However, with a little patience, you can conquer it. Good luck !The direct link between the ECP and AYE as been cut-off and is now interrupted by a long detour through the new MCE.
This 24-page guide consists of notes, detailed maps and routes.
(Pssst : The good news is that TDs will earn a little more per trip when you enter this Mad and Crazy Enclosure.)
