Hi to all members here. I am new here hence I am not very sure about this question.
I am a Fulltime day shift driver, i had already gotten my night relief.
my question is can I drive 2night as a night relief on other company cab? As my uncle if night shift driver but recently he got some family issue n wish to rest on Friday night & sat night. He is asking me to drive for him as he do not wish to pass to other ppl to take over that 2days as his hirer may not wan to do it this way. I am ok to drive for him as that 2 night will have better business. I heard my friend saying I am hirer I cannot be relief At the same time. Hence I tot of asking any of u know the answer?
Yes...especially if you are now a hirer for Transcab and doing relief driving for SMRT. As Taxiuncle said..paying for deposit is the only pre-requisite. I am not sure if you are already a hirer for company A but also taking other people's cab from same company A. Is there an Admin fee charged by SMRT?It all boils down to dollar andcentsas you weigh your options.
Maybe this arrangement is not usual as it is assumed you already have a choice of your own cab for the Friday and Saturday and still want to relief for your uncle.....I am not familiar with your circumstances nor have I have others doing it this way you enquired.
IMHO, the time spent in handing over/ taking over may not be worth your while (as you may be expected to tank up, wash cab, etc. before handing over to the other driver).
