TS is taxi stand.

TD is obviously taxi driver lah.

For newbie TDs like me, any tips on where to go with all these F1 road closures. Bet Orchard Rd will be packed, also more cabs will be at AP. Looks like maybe try the city fringe areas but no city charge, sigh.

Or go and cheong into Suntec area and other F1 designated areas, can get $5 more surcharge (F1 surcharge) on the race days at night - for Comfort cabs at least.

Yes surcharge increase to $5 - but you risk getting caught in a jam...btw you driving day or night?

rat, I night driver. Last night, tried Suntec, surprisingly many taxis queuing for pax at 9pm! Normally, long q of pax. Seems shoppers are avoiding Suntec area already. Orchard also not much better. Where are the pax? Is it because of Monday? Or F1? I thought F1 crowd comes early before the race dates to party? Seems not much improvement at all.

With regards to F1 seems to be quite this year, I may be mistaken - I think shoppers also try to avoid that area closer to race day

Last Nite was OBK night. V quiet everywhere.........Have a feeling F1 days more worst.........

I thought F1 brings a lot of tourists? Last night Tues, usually quiet. See so many desperate green lanterns in town. Was at Raffles City, usually long q for taxis, but eh, how come bo lang? Same at Suntec. Got to wait but not long. Usually pax waiting for cabs at that time.

So F1 is bad for TDs?

OBK night means what? Still make or lose money? I still make but not great lah.

My meaning of OBK means take a longer time to break even and by 12am, profit is minimal..........Last night 11pm saw a queue forming up at nicole highway gg into suntec area. Car been check and interview by TP..... Siam far far

Darknike, I also at midnight profit minimal but after that usually picks up with the 50% surcharge.

Tonight could be good since it is Friday night but F1 practice starts. Still lots of biz in Orchard area and those part of Raffles/Shenton further away from F1 action. Suntec pax really cham, call bookings but cabs don't want to go there and who can blame the TDs?

Interesting to see & hear the beautiful cars in live action.

F1 seems to be bad for TDs. Jam in town area so TDs go heartlands. But heartlands lots of cabs fighting for pax. In the end, earnings affected.

Last night surprisingly MBS no pax at 8pm. More cab than pax. Around 1230am, More pax that cab? MBS Tower 3 TS no Cab but lot of pax waiting. Kena call to there and found out have to fetch 2 ladies with 1 drunkard. Almost want to step accelarator but tio call dunno what to do. Just pray dun vomit and pass them plastic bag and true enuff, merlion inside my cab and missed the bag......%#^#%:(.... Luckily they help me to clean up and offer me $30 excluding fare for the trouble. Bo bian keep early at 130am and go wash cab inside out...... what a night....... Might i ask what is the standard practice to charge if this happens?
